In partnership with St. Claire HealthCare, 乐播传媒 is pleased to announce a $150,000 scholarship opportunity benefitting 乐播传媒 students.
The St. Claire Academic-Practice Scholarship Program aims to remove economic barriers to education, by providing students with access to scholarship dollars that will help close the gap between their cost of attendance and other forms of financial aid.
鈥淲onderful community partners like St. Claire HealthCare are crucial to the education of our students,鈥 said Dr. Laura McCullough, 乐播传媒 President/CEO. 鈥淭his opportunity will allow our students to receive hands-on training in their field, which only adds to their employability, while simultaneously removing potential economic barriers they face as they navigate their educational journey at 乐播传媒.鈥
Students enrolled in the program may use scholarship dollars to cover additional needs, such as tuition, books, and fees. Additional scholarship opportunities are also available annually through the 乐播传媒 Foundation and the St. Claire HealthCare Foundation.
This partnership will provide a continuous stream of specialized employees to meet the workforce needs of St. Claire HealthCare in both clinical and non-clinical areas.
鈥淭he St. Claire HealthCare Academic-Practice Scholarship is an opportunity for St. Claire HealthCare to support the amazing work of Maysville Community and Technical College by expanding access to quality education and meaningful employment even further,鈥 said Donald H. Lloyd II, President/CEO of St. Claire HealthCare. 鈥淭his program provides innovative training opportunities for 乐播传媒 students and establishes a recruitment pipeline of qualified graduates prepared to enter the workforce and fulfill SCH鈥檚 workforce demands across the health system in both clinical and nonclinical programs.鈥
As a part of the partnership, students enrolled in the program will become part-time employees at St. Claire HealthCare, in the form of an externship, internship, or assistantship, but they will be directly related to the student鈥檚 course of study.
Upon acceptance into the program, participants agree to work full-time at St. Claire HealthCare for a period of years post-graduation, depending on their career path.
Eligible programs to participate in the scholarship opportunity are Nursing, Medical Lab Tech, Emergency Medical Services, Physical Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Care, Administrative Office Technology, Certified Medical Assistant, Computer and Information Technology, Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, Health Science Technology, Air Conditioning Technology, Medical Information Technology, Nurse Aid, and Phlebotomy.
鈥淚 believe that our new partnership with St. Claire will lead to endless possibilities for our students interested in Health Sciences and beyond. I am so grateful for the opportunity to watch it all unfold,鈥 said Emma Lawson, who will serve as a Success Coach through the initiative. 鈥淟ocal partners working to better the lives of others鈥hat鈥檚 what it鈥檚 all about. Our students deserve the support the Academic-Practice Scholarship program will provide, a pathway from credential to career.鈥
