Through a partnership with Northern Kentucky University (NKU), graduates of the Human Services program at Maysville Community & Technical College (乐播传媒) can seamlessly earn their Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Addictions.

To participate in the program, KCTCS 2 NKU, students must complete their associate degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to be accepted.

A limited number of scholarships are available to students who are Kentucky residents transferring directly from a KCTCS institution with at least 36 hours from that institution and a minimum GPA of 3.0.

To be eligible for the scholarship, those students cannot have been previously enrolled as a degree student at NKU and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours in both the fall and spring semesters.

鈥淭he NKU pathway is a great opportunity for students wanting to pursue their bachelor鈥檚 degree,鈥 said Tabatha Butler, program coordinator for the Human Services program. 鈥淏y completing the AAS in Human Services at 乐播传媒, they鈥檒l save money while completing the first two years of their bachelor鈥檚 degree, before seamlessly transferring to NKU.鈥

Beth Weiss is the first 乐播传媒 graduate to take advantage of the pathway. She graduated from 乐播传媒 in December before transferring to NKU.

I am so proud to be a part of this program,鈥 Weiss said. 鈥淭he transition to NKU was smooth and I felt supported, not only by my advisor Tabatha, but by the Adult Transfer Center at NKU as well. I have wanted to help others for a long time and 乐播传媒 helped me take those first steps.鈥

乐播传媒鈥檚 Human Services program prepares students for entry-level positions in agencies and institutions that provide social, community, educational, and mental health services.

Upon completion of the program, students are qualified to seek employment in various areas which may include childcare facilities, mental health settings, chemical dependency settings, hospitals, educational institutions, correctional facilities, geriatric settings, child and youth centers, and social service agencies.
