乐播传媒 honors outgoing Board members, welcomes new appointments

Maysville Community & Technical College recently received new appointments to its Board of Directors from Gov. Andy Beshear.
Those appointments include Brian L. Biddle, DVM, Rebecca Cartmell, Maggie Denham, Amy Miller, and Jason Slone.
Dr. Brian Biddle has been a veterinarian at Town and County Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort for 27 years. He lives in Maysville with his wife, Renee, and son, Jansen.
鈥淚 am very humbled, honored and excited to be a part of the Maysville Community & Technical College system in this appointed capacity,鈥 said Biddle.
Rebecca Cartmell is the Executive Director of Community Care of Mason County and is a lifelong resident of Mason County. A graduate of Maysville High School and the University of Kentucky, Cartmell is a trained speech pathologist who spent a decade working with individuals with developmental disabilities in Jefferson County Public Schools before returning to Maysville. Since then, she has served the community as the Executive Director of the Mason County Chapter of the American Red Cross and on several boards and commissions related to historic preservation, animal welfare, and community services.
"I have always valued education, and our community college in particular is so valuable because it gives local individuals the opportunity to pursue higher education," she said.
Maggie Denham has led the Title X Family Planning program for PrimaryPlus for the last three years.
In that capacity, Denham helps provide family planning services to any men or women in the communities that the 15 PrimaryPlus locations serve who are in need but do not have insurance. She says they are also able to provide some women's cancer screening to women in the area who do not have health insurance.

The education and training 乐播传媒 provide creates a better life for all who are involved, and I am excited to be able to help continue the great work. I am looking forward to this new opportunity to be able to serve and better our community,鈥 she said.
Amy Miller has served as a speech language pathologist for Augusta Independent Schools, her alma matter, for twenty years.
She earned a bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degree from the University of Kentucky.
鈥淚 am looking forward to my appointment to the 乐播传媒 Board. I am honored to have been selected and can鈥檛 wait to assist what is already such a valuable asset to our community,鈥 Miller said.
Jason Slone, President, and CEO of the Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council, Inc., brings more than 20 years of public and private sector experience in Workforce Development and Economic Development to Morehead and Rowan County.
"I am honored to begin serving in this role at 乐播传媒,鈥 Slone said. 鈥淲orkforce Development is important to economic development and the success of a community and region. I am excited to begin working with the Board of Directors and to assist in developing the talent to lead the next generation to meet our business needs."
Dr. Laura McCullough, 乐播传媒 President/CEO and Lisa McCane, Board Chair recognized outgoing Board members Peter Feil and Monica Hill with an appreciation gift for their service.
Peter Feil, General Manager at STOBER Drives Inc said he is very grateful for having had the opportunity to serve on the 乐播传媒 Board.
鈥溊植ゴ is such a great asset to our community, supporting our local businesses. At STOBER, we have an apprenticeship program with 17 apprentices currently enrolled in higher education, many at 乐播传媒,鈥 Feil said. 鈥溊植ゴ also provides the curriculum for many employees pursuing degrees through our tuition reimbursement program. These people development programs at STOBER are essential for us to maintain a highly educated workforce as we continue to grow and add more jobs in our community. 乐播传媒 is an essential contributor to STOBER鈥檚 current and future business success. STOBER and 乐播传媒 will continue to work closely together to provide excellent career opportunities for many folks right here in Maysville.鈥
